Verifying Google Business Profiles Using Video

Please follow the steps below and follow up once completed. Please go to the last step to know what you need ready for your video call. 

What You Need Before You Start

• Absolute:
  • Signage: Please have public-facing signage that tells customers you are located here.
  • Official Mail: Government, utility, or other mail with your organization’s name and new address.
  • Going Outside: Show outside signs. Examples include your street’s name, nearby businesses, or the area around your business.
  • Business or equipment: Capture your operations. Examples include stock for sale, branded equipment, marketing materials, or tools you use to serve your customers.
  • Proof of management: Show your access to employee-only items or areas. Examples include a cash register, kitchen, storage room, or non-sensitive business documents. You can also use your keys to open your facility.

Step 1: Log in to Google Business Profiles and Click “Verify”  

Log Into: https://www.google.com/business

Step 2: Select “Live Video Call”

Step 3: Select Options and then “Start Call”. All options must be selected. You must be present at the location.

Step 4: Speak with a representative

In this step, you will be asked to show the outside of the building with signage, the address, etc… If you have any utility bills or documents showing the business name plus the address, please have that ready as well. You can also include any other things such as tools used, marketing materials with phone numbers or addresses, and any other signage that proves your business location. If you have any yard signs, please have those up in front of the business too. 

Note: For Residential Locations Claimed As A Service-Based Business

You will need to have as much marketing collateral that you can. Anything with the business location ie: City name, is going to help. You must be upfront with them that you are a “Service Based Business” and go to your customers location and DO NOT serve customers at yours.
